I started my internship on 4th. I am picking up on things that school counselors do on a daily basis. I came across couple of students who do not see themselves in college. I had read about how kids drop-out from high-school, but this was the first time I ever heard a kid saying it. I never expected that I would be surprised by this as I have been reading about it.
Myself and the school counselor, tried our best to motivate these kids. But, I guess it's not gonna happen in a day. Motivating these kids has become my major goal now. I am planning to do some guidance lessons and run groups for these kids. I am looking out for more ideas to help these kids see a better future. Kindly share your thoughts.
